Robert ‘Bob’ Olman founded Alpha Search Advisory Partners in 2002 to serve the alternative asset management industry. Mr. Olman has led successful searches for senior level asset management professionals across geographies, asset classes, strategies, roles and functions. Successful mandates include investment professionals, marketing and distribution, risk management, corporate strategy, trading, and corporate functional leaders throughout the industry.

Mr. Olman has owned and operated capital markets search firms since 1988. Prior to launching Alpha Search Advisory Partners, Bob owned and operated COR Management Services, an executive search and contract consulting firm with offices in New York, Boston and Washington, D.C. COR specialized in structured finance, trading, quantitative analysis, financial engineering, and information technology across sell-side firms. Representative clients included Goldman Sachs, Salomon Brothers, Morgan Stanley, Soros Fund Management, Tudor Investment and Commodities Corp.

A prominent industry expert, Bob is a regular editorial contributor to on-line media such as Hedge Fund Intelligence, HedgeFund.net, Hedge Fund Digest Blog, FIN Alternatives, Ladders.com, Forbes Online, MSNBC, Marketsmedia.com, Bloomberg News, Dow Jones MarketWatch and Reuters Online. Mr. Olman attended SUNY Binghamton and Oneonta and holds degrees in Political Science, English, and Philosophy. He is active in humanitarian organizations, with an emphasis on children’s charities, cancer research, and assistance for cancer survivors and their families. Bob is a counselor and advisor to Hire Heroes USA, a non-profit organization that helps veterans transition from the military to careers in the private sector. Mr. Olman spends his leisure time writing fiction, practicing Pencak Silat and spirituality. He lives in Long Island, New York with his family.

Interns gain exposure to all three industries in which Alpha Search is active:
– Executive search & human capital advisory for alternative asset managers, esp. hedge funds, CTAs and PE ( >$5Tn industry worldwide).
Interns will research alternative investments, the asset management industry across all asset classes, investment strategies and geographies.
– Outsourcing, specifically business & recruitment process outsourcing (BPO/RPO) across financial services ($130bn in 2019).
Interns will take part in growing the business, execute deep dive research of competitive landscape, and develop messaging, content, and a digital marketing platform.
– Real estate investment and development in the Delaware Water Gap area of Sullivan County, NY.
Interns will Source & value properties, assist in development plans, interface with law firms, regulatory bodies, lenders and service providers, and research distressed investing in foreclosures, tax auctions and loan purchasing (NPLs).

Requirements
– Superior verbal and written communication skills.
– Internet research & business computing proficiency (Word, Outlook PowerPoint & Excel).

– Able to work independently and as a member of a team.
